Training:
Dog training begins with a short boarding stay at the Center for your loved one where Dave establishes a relationship with your pet and introduces him or her to a small group of dogs (all dogs staying at Cugno’s Canine Center either have been through their training or are currently on-site for such purposes). Dave works with your dog during this time to begin the work that he will teach you to continue. In a stress-free environment your dog will develop an understanding with instinctive clarity of the hierarchy of the human-canine pack; that is, a pack with humans as leaders and dogs as followers. He or she gradually will be immersed into a group that Dave often describes as “one dog with twenty heads.” After a few days your dog is mentally and physically “played out” and is ready to come home and relax! Your return with your dog for the first 30-60 minute training session will be scheduled at this time. Anyone who interacts regularly with the dog is encouraged to attend each session. Dave will masterfully guide you through each class and provide a series of short homework assignments individualized to the progress you demonstrate each week. As Dave is sure to tell you, “Dogs never fail. Success rests entirely with you and your commitment to the program.”
Boarding:
It’s always hard leaving your best friend in a kennel when you go on vacation. But what if you could send him or her on a vacation too? At Cugno’s Canine Center, a premier dog boarding kennel in King of Prussia, PA, dogs have the time of their lives! For most of each day they are running and playing with their canine friends in a well supervised and always stable socialization yards. Only dogs that have been through Dave’s training are welcome to board on-site which ensures maximum pack balance. With a human presence on site 24 hours a day and a reliable veterinary practice next door your dog will receive the best care imaginable. But don’t worry; he’ll still be happy to see you when you return!
The boarding kennel at David Cugno’s Canine Center located in King of Prussia, PA serves customers from the Philadelphia area including all of eastern PA as well as NY, NJ, DE, MD, and VA.

Socialization:
Even the most insecure dog makes friends when they visit the boarding kennel at Cugno’s Canine Center! Introducing your dog to a trained and stable pack is one of the priorities when he or she arrives for the first time. With careful consideration of the dog’s personality and current emotional state they gently will be guided towards interaction with the other dogs. Just like a young child on the first day of school some dogs require more time before they muster the courage to join the pack, but instinct always takes over. Don’t forget, your dog is instinctively a pack animal – even though there is a professional there to assist, he or she knows just what to do! Since all dogs have been through the training and socialization, maintaining pack stability comes naturally!
